Jill Plaice Jill Plaice, Partner

Jill Plaice has a diversified business background with over nineteen years experience in all aspects of consulting, account management, sales management, marketing, technical support, and process management. Jill gained in-depth understanding of end-to-end business operations and processes through her involvement in small business management. She has also performed varied management duties in a large corporate environment, which have provided an uncommon broad base of experience and knowledge.

During ten years with AT&T, Jill established the small business sales office in the new territory of Hawaii, which included all start-up activities. She hired and trained local telemarketing and sales associates and produced 197% of sales quota when the business plan projected 80% attainment for the newly established office. Jill provided direct technical support on a nationwide basis that included application development, system configuration support, training documentation, and course development. She has experience managing and scheduling a staff of technical consultants to provide 7x24 hour hotline coverage. Jill assumed management of a failing sales office and within six months increased productivity from 30% to 98%.

The past nine years, Jill has specialized in the area of business process management. While at AT&T, Jill established the first Process Management District within the Information Management Organization. This included developing the strategy, policies and procedures, and hiring and training process consultants. She led cross-organizational design teams to identify improvement areas and ensure integration of organizational processes. She was heavily involved in redesigning processes for "top-secret" management downsizing and in personally delivering downsizing options to all Florida employees. Jill was project lead on several reengineering efforts and interfaced with top consulting firms such as Gray, Judson, & Howard, Corporate Renaissance, and Gemini Consulting.

Jill received training from well-known experts in the quality and process management arenas including Michael Hammer and the Juran Institute. She attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham concentrating on marketing and computer science. For the past six years, Jill has successfully managed an independent process management consulting practice that she founded. She has been a featured presenter and was published at the World Innovation and Strategy Conference (Sydney, 1998) and the International Conference on ISO 9000 and TQM (Singapore, 2000).
